Dating from 1650, April Cottage is a beautiful Grade II listed thatched cottage with secluded enclosed garden, set in the heart of the medieval town of Colyton, within a few minutes walk of all amenities including local shops, pubs, restaurants, takeaway, children's playground, tram station, tennis courts etc and less than 3 miles from Seaton beach. Lovely rural walks, great for dog walking, right from the cottage front door. The cottage is full of character features such as thatched roof, inglenook fireplace, exposed beams and cosy corners.
Colyton is a small medieval town within a conservation area in the beautiful verdant Axe Valley with the River Coly flowing through its heart. It is surrounded by lovely East Devon countryside, which is recognised as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The Axe estuary is a delight for birdwatchers with 6 hides and 3½ miles of cycleways.
Colyton Tram Station is within walking distance and is great place to board the Seaton Tramway to Seaton with its Blue Flag beach. Colyton is 10 minutes from the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage site noted for its geology, dramatic cliffs and fossils. Windsurfing, golf, horse riding and National Trust properties are close by.
Lyme Regis, Beer, Branscombe, Sidmouth and Exeter are within easy reach.
