Southover Farm House
Southover Farm House was refurbished in 2005 to a high standard and with the aim of making people view it as a holiday home, rather than a holiday let.
The house is situated in its own large, securely fenced garden with a terrace accessed from the kitchen which is ideal for outdoor dining adjacent to the hot tub.
There are extensive views from the house over the glorious surrounding Dorset farmland and woodland.
The large, well-equipped family kitchen has a sofa and chairs to relax in, a large island for gathering around while meals are prepared and seating for 16 around the two pine kitchen tables.
The cosy sitting room has an open fire and is a perfect place to curl up in front of the tv or with a book (help yourself from the bookcase!) at the end of a tiring day in the hot tub or exploring Dorset's towns, countryside and stunning Jurassic coast.
There is a fully-equipped utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, etc and downstairs toilet adjacent to the hot tub.

Southover Farm House is ideally suited for family gatherings or friends' reunions as the accomodation is flexible and the rooms are high-celinged and spacious.
While Southover Farm is a working farm with crops, cattle, horses, watermeadows and woodlands, it is still a peaceful setting in which to sit and watch the horses graze in the fields and listen to the birdsong.
In character with the idea of a total break from the outside world, there is no WiFi available at the farmhouse. The pub in Tolpuddle provides free WiFi for its customers if anyone needs to check news/emails every now and then during their stay.
For eating out the village of Tolpuddle, famous for the Tolpuddle Martyrs, has an excellent pub named in their honour which is less than a mile's walk from the farmhouse, while The Blue Vinny in Puddletown and Athelhampton House are both a short drive away.
If you wish to treat yourself to a fabulous meal without even leaving the house (and without having to cook it!) we have two local chefs who will come to the house and cook for you if they are free - ask us for their details.
The busy county town of Dorchester is 8 miles away and easily accessible for the cinema or some retail therapy.
