A relaxing environment and a great base to explore medieval Lincoln with it’s famous cathedral (and unique and diverse shops) or the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds. Excellent walking or cycling on the nearby Water Rail Way which follows the River Witham from Lincoln to Boston, walking in the ancient Lime Woods and on the Viking Way, which runs through Southrey. Woodhall Spa, approximately 6 miles, has a summer lido, Kinema in the Woods and a golf course. Quaint Horncastle, with its vintage shops is 8 miles; Doddington Hall is 15 miles and the east coast is approximately 30 miles for winter seal watching. Nearby Bardney, 2.5 miles, has takeaways, restaurants and pubs. Fishing is available on the River Witham. Pub 500 yards.
