The delightful market town of Hawes is the highest settlement in Wensleydale and home to the delicious Wensleydale cheese. The town is also famous for rope making; a skill passed down through the generations and a fascination for many of the visitors that come to the town. A regular market is held on a Tuesday and Hawes has many excellent shops and eateries in its midst. The beautiful limestone countryside surrounding the town provides a huge variety of walks and other outdoor pursuits, and for sightseeing opportunities the area is unsurpassed with the spectacular Hardraw Force and theAysgarth falls just two of the natural wonders to be seen. Hawes is a delightful town and makes a superb base for a holiday in this magnificent area.

From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Where else in Britain is it as satisfying to sit and do nothing as it is to explore the numerous pursuits on offer?

Lovely cottage which had been recently renovated to a very high standard; warm, comfortable, clean, and like a home from home. A perfect family house. A great location in the centre of Hawes, and perfect for walks in the heart of the Dales.
Ms Armes, Norwich, Norfolk
October 2013

,We could not fault this property, we loved the cottage and had a wonderful stay, would definitely recommend it to others. Very nicely decorated and very comfortable. We voted it ten out of ten.
Mrs Salter, King's Lynn, Norfolk
September 2013

,The cottage was comfortable and well located.
Ms Flavell, Chester, Cheshire
September 2013

,We were highly delighted by the cottage as it was an ideal size, excellent facilities and extremely clean and luxurious. We could not have wished for a better cottage had we had 100 to chose from. I found your site easy to use to view cottages and easy to book. The cottage was ideally situated and made a wonderful relaxing short break. I would definitely recommend this cottage and your booking site. Many thanks!
Mr Cater, Driffield, East Riding of Yorkshire
August 2013
