Craiglure is a cosy single storey property around a mile from Gatehouse of Fleet. The cottage has three bedrooms - two doubles, one with an en-suite shower room, and a single with additional pull-out stacker bed - and a house bathroom, along with additional cloakroom. There is an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with open fire. There is also a conservatory. Outside is an extensive lawn, sloping in some parts, and a raised deck with furniture, along with off road parking for three cars. With the amenities of Gatehouse of Fleet just a mile away and plentiful walking, fishing, golfing and more, Craiglure is a lovely year-round family base.

Extensive enclosed lawned garden with rear raised decked terrace and furniture. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 1.2 miles.

Situated on the Solway Firth, the small, country town of Gatehouse of Fleet is a peaceful place, decorated in pretty pastel colours. Set in the gorgeous Dumfries and Galloway countryside and within five minutes drive of beautiful sandy beaches, there is also a loch and the opportunity to try river fishing. Founded in around 1760, the town was originally a mill community and today a visitors' centre set in the former bobbin mill - Mill on the Fleet – tells the story of Gatehouse's cotton spinning days. The town now boasts several shops, including a baker, butcher, grocer, bank and post office whilst a number of the pubs also serve food and welcome children.

From the lush green farmlands of the Borders tothe ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britain's best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.

It was a wonderful cottage in a beautiful setting. The views from the cottage were superb and could not be faulted in any way.
