St. Abbs is an attractive fishing village with a pretty harbor, located just over the border to Scotland. Nestled on a gorgeous stretch of Berwickshire coastline, the village is close to St. Abbs Head Nature Reserve with its abundance of wildlife and bird watching. The Cheviots, Scottish Borders and the coastline all offer excellent walking and cycling possibilities to nature lovers, and a safe and sandy beach is less than a mile away in Coldingham. Berwick-upon-Tweed and its shops, museum and a castle, and the natural paradises of Holy Island and the Farne Islands are worth a trip. The lovely seaside villages of Craster, Seahouses and Eyemouth are also close, and the vibrant multi-cultural capital city of Edinburgh is less than 50 miles distant.

Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian's Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.

Very comfortable and cosy. The owners have put a lot of thought into making people welcome and comfortable. The kitchen is small but very well equipped and very clean.
Mrs Nisbet, Edinburgh, Midlothian
August 2013

,Lovely building and grounds. Comfortably furnished.
