Oak Cottage
Two very well presented properties converted from a stone barn set in their own grounds at the head of a stunning rural valley and boasting lovely views from the garden across farmland. The accommodation for each is cleverly set out over two floors and ideally suited to a couple or young family. Whilst the cottages are available individually they may also suit two families looking for adjacent accommodation sleeping up to eight in total. All guests have access to the outdoor solar-heated swimming pool and are welcome to meet the resident herd of Shetland ponies!
ACCOMMODATION Two cosy barn conversions with open plan living area at ground floor level and bedrooms and bathroom on the first floor.
KITCHEN/LIVING/DINING AREA The entrance to each cottage leads in to an open plan area with well equipped kitchen, breakfast bar and sitting room. The recently upgraded kitchen has a four-ring gas hob, electric oven, microwave and fridge with freezer compartment. An understairs cupboard contains the washing machine. The room is divided by the breakfast bar which serves as the dining area with 4 chairs. The living room area comprises two, 2 seater sofas and wall mounted flatscreen TV with freeview and DVD player. Stairs lead up to first floor.
BEDROOMS Two - both on the first floor. A double bedroom has a 4'6" pine framed bed with bedside table, chest of drawers and wardrobe. Door out to small secluded grassed area (Oak Cottage only). The second bedroom is a small twin with two single beds, chest of drawers and wardrobe (additional Z bed on request). N.B All bed linen and towels are provided - tenants need to provide their own beach/pool towels.
BABY FRIENDLY FACILITIES A cot & highchair are available at each cottage.
BATHROOM Also on the first floor with bath, shower (over), wash basin and w.c.
OUTSIDE To the front of Oak and May Cottages is a good sized terraced with wooden table, chairs and parasol for each property. Barbecue available. There are also shared fenced gardens with level area of lawn.
SWIMMING POOL The outdoor solar heated swimming pool is enclosed with a 5' fence and has a sheltered sun-bathing area with sun loungers, tables and chairs. Lovely views can be enjoyed from here down the valley to the sea beyond.
PARKING Ample parking for one car with additional boat parking space available on request. Broadband available.
OTHER INFORMATION Oak and May Cottages are double-glazed and each have gas fired central heating and hot water. One small well behaved dog per cottage.
