Recently renovated Manx stone barn in peaceful rural setting with beautiful sea and mountain views. This ideal location in the scenic Isle of Man provides the perfect get-away for a relaxing vacation; indeed a favourite Manx saying is traa dy liooar ("time enough").The self-catering barn cottage enjoys spectacular views of the beautiful Manx countryside towards the sea, Langness Peninsular and Barrule Mountain. This delightful setting is a secluded, yet convenient, base for exploring the Island, two long distance footpaths pass the end of the lane with many shorter countryside strolls straight from the cottage door. Langness Cottage is in the midst of Manx farmland is well equipped and decorated to the highest standards, ideal for coastal, hill and country walks, tranquil sandy beaches and rocky coves, water sports, horse riding, basking shark and birdwatching, fishing, golf (8 courses), Steam Railways, picturesque Silverdale Glen, Manx National Heritage sites such as historic Rushen Abbey, Tynwald (Viking parliament) and the ancient capital of Castletown.
The cottage provides spacious high quality Four Star **** non-smoking accommodation, original beams, central heating, large master bedroom (tv,dvd player) with with ensuite bathroom & twin bedroom with ensuite shower room, fully equipped spacious kitchen-dining room, utility room, downstairs cloakroom (wc), lounge, patio, large lawns and garden surrounded by countryside. Also, an additional sofa bed is available on request (£60 surcharge) which sleeps an extra two guests. Children of all ages are welcome and we are pleased to provide a cot, stair gate, toys and other equipment to make your stay comfortable for all family members. Inside the cottage the facilities include:
• full double glazing & central heating
• washing machine, tumble dryer, drying room, iron & ironing board
• fan oven, electric hob, dishwasher, microwave & fridge/freezer
• ensuite bathroom/shower room to each bedroom
• TV, video & CD/DVD player
• Indoor games, books, board games,duplo, lego, DVD's
Outside facilities include:
• patio with hardwood garden furniture & BBQ facilities
• extensive gardens, lawns
• large trampoline, table tennis, badminton and other outdoor games
• ample easy parking in grounds
Langness Cottage is located near Ballasalla village in the south of the Isle of Man within easy driving distance of everywhere on the Island. The proprietors, Mark and Jill Ballantyne offer a warm welcome. Your comfort and enjoyment are of utmost importance to us, we are always willing to accommodate special requirements when requested and welcome mid week bookings in low or mid season, also we offer a courtesy pick-up and drop-off service from the airport. A welcome hamper of local produce and fresh scones greets your arrival.
