Very safe beach. At low tide there is a vast amount of beach. ideal for shrimping, crabbing, cockling and building sand castles. At high tide the sea is at the sea wall with direct access from the garden.

Heacham is the home of Norfolk lavender. Good pubs, restaurants, shops and supermarkets can be found in the village and the nearby resort of Hunstanton.
