This beautifully scenic area offers endless walking and climbing opportunities as well as glorious hidden coves and large open sandy beaches ideal for all the family. Around every corner is yet another breath taking view â€" dramatic unspoilt landscape with coastal cliffs, lochs and spectacular mountains all dotted with traditional working Crofts. The “Old Man of Stoer” sea stack is within walking distance of Seafield, as are stunning 130 m high cliffs. There are countless hill lochs for fly fishing enthusiasts (permit frrom Assynt crofters) as well as opportunities for sea fishing, sea kayaking, birding and botanising. The geology of Assynt is quite extra ordinary.
There are several quality restaurants serving local seafood in Lochinver and Kylesku.
