1 River View
1 River View, a delightful salmon fisherman’s cottage dating back to the late 1800’s sits above the village slipway with stunning views down the beautiful River Dart estuary. This is a great venue for a family holiday where the kids can spend hours crabbing and messing about on the foreshore or feeding the ducks and swans on the Mill Pool. The more adventurous can hire kayaks in the season (or bring their own) and potter up and down this beautiful stretch of water which flows downstream to Dartmouth or upstream to the Bohemian town of Totnes. The cottage has been totally renovated in a fresh seaside style and provides tasteful accommodation with a cosy woodburner for those chilly spring and autumn evenings. The bench in front of the cottage is an ideal place to sit, relax and watch the world go by, but the village of Stoke Gabriel has two pubs, restaurants and a great waterside café all within a short stroll. There are some lovely riverbank walks to enjoy with the dog and all the attractions of Devon, from the sandy beaches to the wildness of Dartmoor are readily accessible by car.

Stable door to living room with corner leather sofa, woodburner stove and 42 inch TV with Blu-ray DVD and Freesat +. Attractive rear kitchen/ diner with quality oak units, induction hob with oven under, fridge with icebox, dishwasher, microwave and washer/dryer. Dining table with seating for 5. First floor double bedroom with 5ft bed and views of the river. Large family bathroom with bath, separate shower, hand basin, WC and heated towel rail. Charming single bedroom with 3ft bed. Second floor spacious twin bedroom with two 3ft beds and estuary views.
Outside:
Small area in front of house with bench for enjoying the spectacular view. Rear yard suitable for storing small dinghies, kayaks and wetsuits with hose for washing boots and dogs.
Parking: Permit for one car in nearby waterside car park. Additional street parking available in village, but will involve a walk.

Post Office and village stores nearby. Totnes with all facilities incl. main line train station 4 miles. Paignton and Torbay 6 miles.
