Bayview, a tastefully converted coastguard cottage, is perched on the cliffs at Hallsands in South Devon and boasts breathtaking sea views from the lighthouse, across the wide sweep of Start Bay to Dartmouth in South Devon. The cottage provides comfortable seaside accommodation with fantastic views from every window. The nearby, historic ruined village of Hallsands is well worth a visit or explore the famous South West Coastal Path, which is right on the doorstep. Alternatively, the family can pack up and head to the beach for the day, which is only a short walk away and this is a perfect place to enjoy sea kayaking, as kayaks can be carried down and secured at North Hallsands beach. Enjoy a refreshing drink and a delicious meal at the Cricket Inn at Beesands or venture further afield to the excellent seafood restaurant, The Start Bay Inn at Torcross. Bayview, a perfect base for a seaside holiday, is a very well equipped, practical family home in a fantastic location and benefits from a large, private garden that can easily entertain the children for hours, so the parents can enjoy sipping wine and relaxing in front of the views when they have tired of the outdoors.

Rear entrance into conservatory porch area with hanging space and table and 2 chairs. Well-equipped tiled kitchen with fitted cupboards, electric hob, built-under electric oven, microwave as well as a built-in dishwasher and fridge. A separate outside utility room has a large fridge/freezer, sink, washing machine and dryer. Open plan living/dining area with 1 large sofa, 2 armchairs, 2 bean bags, flat screen TV, separate DVD player, radio/CD player (DVDs and CDs provided), feature fire place (not functional) and fantastic views out to sea. Downstairs WC and basin. Stairs up to first floor, where both bedrooms face the sea. Double bedroom with 4ft 6in bed and basin. Children’s bunk room (2 x 3ft bunk beds), including toys. Cupboard in hallway with hanging and shelf space. Small shower room with separate shower, basin and WC. Family bathroom with shower over bath, basin and WC. Further stairs up to a lovely master bedroom with 5ft bed, built-in wardrobe and fabulous views of both the sea and the countryside.

Outside:

The property is accessed via 2 sets of steps and a relatively steep slope up to the house. Front private garden facing the sea with table, chairs and umbrella. Large private, rear garden (not enclosed) with wide expanse of lawns and patio picnic bench.

Parking: Designated parking space for 1 car on shared drive. Alternative parking available at the public car park for the Hallsands ruined village, about two minutes walk away.
