This really is a delightful cottage, tastefully refurbished and perched on the hillside with lovely views from the sunny decking of the wooded valley and upper Looe river. Here you can sit and soak up the sun, safe from the noise and bustle of Looe whilst enjoying a quiet read or an al fresco meal as you watch the sun sink behind the hills. The town itself, with its vibrant shops, cafes and restaurants, sandy beach and famous Banjo Pier, is only 10 minutes walk and the quintessential Cornish fishing village of Polperro is a short drive away. The South West Coastal path passes through Looe and offers some lovely walks with spectacular sea views, plus the whole of Celtic Cornwall is easily accessible for the explorers amongst you. For those arriving by train, the cottage is conveniently located just one minute by taxi or a few minutes walk uphill. Lowena retains many period features, has pine floorboards and is beautifully presented with a modern kitchen and spacious dining area. With its fabulous views and welcoming home from home feel, it is a perfect base for a memorable holiday.

Accommodation:

Kitchen annexe with gas hob, electric oven and grill, washing machine and microwave. Kitchen/diner with sink, dishwasher, Smeg fridge/freezer and oak dining table to seat six. Living room with large picture window looking out to the valley, coir floor covering, period fireplace, two sofas, flat screen TV with integral DVD/CD, iPod dock and plenty of books, DVDs and games. Stairs up to bedrooms. Master bedroom with 4ft 6in double bed and lovely views of the valley. Bunk bedroom with 3ft single bunk beds. Family bathroom with bath, shower over, hand basin and WC.

Outside:

From the lounge door, a wide decked area overlooks the garden and valley, amply furnished. Steps lead down to a pretty sloping garden with a child's seat tucked away in a shady spot. Small sunny courtyard with garden seat at the front of the property.

Parking:

At one of the public car parks in Looe (weekly charges apply); the main car park is 10 mins walk. You may stop outside the cottage briefly to unload. As the road up to the cottage is narrow, those with larger vehicles may wish to unload at the bottom of the hill, or at a public car park.
