Vean Cottage is a small, totally self contained, secluded and well appointed wing of a large house situated off a quiet wooded lane on the edge of the South Devon village of Ringmore. The cottage is in a prime position, just half a mile walk from the beautiful unspoilt beach at Ayrmer Cove and with direct access to the coastal path, a gateway to miles of walking in a remarkable landscape. This is a perfect spot for couples and their dog to escape to both winter and summer; the winter for bracing cliff top walks and the summer for lazing by the private swimming pool (by the discretion of and shared with the owners) or beach combing on Ayrmer Cove. More special extras available here include full massage, Indian head massage and aromatherapy treatments provided at a small charge and by arrangement with the qualified owner. Guests are warmly welcomed with a complimentary welcome pack and home grown eggs (as available).

Accommodation:

Front door into small hallway. Steps down to the living room comfortably furnished with a log burner, leather sofa, flat screen TV with DVD, iPod dock, a bright rug on the tiled floor and dining table to seat two. The kitchen area has a gas hob, electric oven, fridge with ice box, microwave and washing machine. An archway leads through to the bedroom area with attractive 4ft 6in bed, fitted cupboard, skylights and a window overlooking the wooded lane. Smart contemporary en-suite shower room with shower, basin and WC.

Outside:

A flight of steps lead up from the gated private driveway (exclusive to the cottage) to a small walled patio area provided with table and chairs that overlooks the owners’ gardens and pool. The pool available from May to September is enclosed and heated, 14ft x 22ft and surrounded by a paved area with sun loungers and overlooks the garden and countryside. Chickens and ducks inhabit the garden.
