The Rescue
Dante Lam, director of Operation Mekong and Operation Red Sea, turns up the heat for a high-octane Chinese blockbuster, which put the cast through weeks of intense training so they could perform their own stunts. China Rescue & Salvage (CRS) is a division of the Chinese Coast Guard, which responds to a wide range of emergencies in Chinese waters. Gao Qian (Eddie Peng) is captain of a CRS squad, which faces physically demanding trials in the water, on land and in the air. When flames engulf an oil platform or a commercial flight crash-lands into the sea, Gao Qian and his comrades put personal differences aside to evacuate the terrified survivors. The film co-stars Wang Yanlin, Zhilei Xin, Yingying Lan and Yutian Wang.
