Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior
Om Raut directs a lavish Bollywood historical drama about the fierce battle for control of late 17th-century India. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj (Sharad Kelkar), commander of the Maratha Empire, is determined to protect Southern India from the threat of Mughal invasion. He orders trusted general Tanhaji (Ajay Devg) to capture the strategic hill fortress of Kondhana, which is vital to the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb (Luke Kenny). In retaliation, Aurangzeb dispatches his most trusted military commander, Udaybhan Rathod (Saif Ali Khan), to defend the fortress at all costs. The two armies clash in February 1670 to ultimately decide the fate of the region.
