The Dabangg film franchise kicked off in 2010 with director Abhinav Singh Kashyap at the helm, following flawed cop Chulbul Pandey (Salman Khan) as he came to terms with his shady past. A highly anticipated sequel, directed by Arbaaz Khan, followed two years later, pitting Pandey against the scheming political classes. For the third instalment, Khan reprises his role as the gung-ho hero under director Prabhudeva with tantalising cameos from two of Bollywood's biggest stars - Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. Dabangg 3 also welcomes back Sonakshi Sinha as Pandey's wife Rajjo, Arbaaz Khan as half-brother Makkhi and Mahie Gill as sister-in-law Nirmala. Set in the city of Madhya Pradesh, the new film ricochets back and forth in time to trace Pandey's personal journey, becoming a champion for the weak and vulnerable. In his pursuit of tough justice, Pandey will face a fearsome adversary, Bali Singh (Sudeep), who will do whatever it takes to elude the law arm of the law.
