Solid Gold
Jacek Bromski's controversial thriller is inspired by a real-life Polish political scandal and centres on fresh-faced young policewoman Kaja Miller (Marta Nieradkiewicz), who is kidnapped and raped during a bungled operation. She manages to escape from her captors and kills them but omits these crucial details from her official report. Eight years later, her former boss Nowicki (Janusz Gajos) reestablishes contact. He is now a high-ranking officer in the Central Bureau of Investigation in Gdynia and needs Kaja to join him for a highly sensitive case involving influential figures in the corridors of power. The case entangles corrupt businessman Tadeusz Kawecki (Andrzej Seweryn) and forces Kaja to confront the nightmares of her past.
