A Dog Called Money
Award-winning photographer Seamus Murphy collaborates with musician PJ Harvey on a documentary, which charts their globe-trotting exploits in pursuit of artistic excellence. In order to write her new album The Hope Six Demolition Project, Harvey accompanies Murphy to Afghanistan, Syria and Washington DC to find the words that will form the framework of her LP while the photographer captures images of the trips. They return to Somerset House in London and spend five weeks inside a specially constructed room, composing the album while the public watches the through one-way glass as part of a unique art installation. The film dissects the creative process - the frustrations and the moments of clarity - from the inside.
