Werewolf

In the final weeks of the Second World War, members of the Red Army sweep into south-west Poland and liberate prisoners from the Gross-Rosen concentration camp. Eight traumatised children are moved to a temporary orphanage in a nearby derelict mansion under the care of Jadwiga (Danuta Stenka). She perishes in mysterious circumstances and 20-year-old Hanka (Sonia Mietielica) reluctantly assumes the role of surrogate mother to the other children, who include two rivals for her affections: Hanys (Nicolas Przygoda) and Wladek (Kamil Polnisiak). As tensions escalate within the mansion, Alsatian dogs from the liberated camp go feral in the surrounding forest. The children are fresh meat and the crazed animals trap Hanka and the rest of the brood inside the orphanage with no means of escape. The terrified tykes' survival instincts are revived and they fight side by side to vanquish the slavering predators.
