Black and Blue
Alicia West (Naomie Harris) is a rookie officer in the New Orleans Police Department, who faces a tough choice between the poor African American neighbourhoods where she grew up and the badge she sports with pride on her chest. "These streets are a war zone. You're blue now," coldly instructs her training officer, Deacon Brown (James Moses Black). During a routine call, Alicia witnesses the murder of a drug dealer in a warehouse and captures footage of the kill on a camera embedded in her bulletproof vest. Unfortunately, the perpetrators are Deacon and two corrupt detectives, Terry (Frank Grillo) and Darius (Mike Colter). They shoot Alicia to prevent her from escaping with incriminating footage but the vest protects her. The rookie goes on the run with the entire police department in hot pursuit. She seeks sanctuary in a supermarket and begs a local man, Milo Jackson (Tyrese Gibson), to help her expose the culprits. Unfortunately, Terry puts a bounty on Alicia's head so every criminal in the city is also gunning for her.
