Depeche Mode: Spirits In The Forest
Formed in 1980, Depeche Mode have been a dominant musical force around the world, amassing record sales in excess of 100 million copies. In March 2017, band members Dave Gahan, Martin Gore and Andy Fletcher released the album Spirit and supported the LP with an exhausting world tour of 115 shows, culminating in two sold-out performances in July 2018 at Waldbuhne in Berlin. Director Anton Corbijn, who is a long-time artistic collaborator, captures the atmosphere at these final two shows in a revealing and intimate concert film. On-stage renditions of hits including Enjoy The Silence and Personal Jesus are punctuated by documentary footage of six fans, who explain how the music of Depeche Mode has been woven into the fabric of their daily lives.
