The Zoya Factor
A young woman becomes a lucky mascot for the Indian national team during the 2011 Cricket World Cup in a feelgood romance directed by Abhishek Sharma, which is loosely adapted from Anuja Chauhan's novel of the same title. Nikhil Khoda (Dulquer Salmaan) is the captain of the country's cricket team and he incites his players to train hard for a World Cup tournament on home soil. Team mates including Hharviindar (Gandharv Dewan), Ketan (Udit Arora), Robin (Angad Bedi), Shivnath (Abhilash Chaudhary) and Zahid (Abhishek Madrecha) rise to the challenge. During preparations, advertising agency executive Zoya Singh Solanki (Sonam Kapoor) works with the team and her presence coincides with a run of victories. Nikhil isn't superstitious like the rest of the team, who insist Zoya should remain with the squad. Her elevated status as symbol of good fortune astonishes her father Vijayendra (Sanjay Kapoor) and brother Zoravar (Sikander Kher). As Nikhil spends time getting to know Zoya, he risks losing more than his wickets to her.
