Swedish writer-director Isabella Eklof confronts toxic masculinity in her provocative feature debut, which is blessed with an uncompromising and fierce lead performance from Victoria Carmen Sonne. She plays Sascha, the beautiful trophy girlfriend of sadistic crime lord Michael (Lai Yde), who believes he has the right to emotionally and physically abuse his plaything. Sascha suffers these cruel blows largely in silence, knowing that there is no escape because her beau's henchmen are loyal to their master. When Michael and his crew head to the Turkish Riviera for a lavish break, Sascha joins them at a luxury seaside villa. By chance, she crosses paths with Dutch yacht owner Tomas (Thijs Romer) and the spark of attraction between them is instant. Sascha flaunts her sexuality to kindle a passionate affair with Tomas, painfully aware of the consequences if Michael discovers her betrayal. Tomas could save her from a life of subjugation and intimidation but Sascha is playing a dangerous game.
