Munsur Ali directs and co-writes a harrowing drama set during the Bangladesh war of independence, which led to the abduction and extermination of Bengali civilians. Tenacious journalist Sarah (Asia Argento) visits a hospital in London to interview Karim Uddin (Anupam Kher) on his deathbed. The ageing Muslim grew up in Bangladesh and bore witness to some of his nation's darkest moments. Through his testimony, Sarah steps back in time to when the young Karim (Amaan Reza) fell in love with Hindu Asha (Dilruba Yasmeen Ruhee) and was separated from his sweetheart by the outbreak of war. Forced to take up arms as a freedom fighter, Karim faces agonising moral dilemmas as his diligently serves his country and races against time to save innocent Bangladeshis including his girlfriend from a grim fate.
