Once Upon a Time in London
Simon Rumley directs a cut throat crime thriller, which charts the rise of two of London's most notorious gangsters, who paved the way for the Kray Twins and the Richardsons. East End hard man Jack 'Spot' Comer (Terry Stone) leads his troops at the Battle of Cable Street in 1936 and he subsequently seizes control of the capital's criminal underworld when the powerful Sabini gang from Italy are detained. Cocksure wannabe Billy Hill (Leo Gregory) approaches Comer for a position in his rapidly expanding empire, which Billy hopes will allow him to make his name. The protegee learns quickly from his merciless mentor, gaining the experience and contacts he needs to challenge Comer's authority.
