Laxman Utekar directs a Bollywood comedy of errors set in the town of Mathura in Uttar Pradesh, which pairs Kartik Aaryan with Kriti Sanon. Cable TV journalist Vinod Shukla (Kartik Aaryan) meets Rashmi Trivedi (Kriti Sanon), who has recently completed a post-graduate qualification in Delhi. They fall madly in love and decide to test their compatibility by living together. Aided by good friend Abbas (Aparshakti Khurana), Vinod and Rashmi travel to Agra and spend more than two weeks living in close proximity. The experiment works and the couple decide they want to commit to each other and tell their respective families. When they return to Mathura, Vinod and Rashmi are stunned to discover their loved ones believe they have eloped and married in secret.
