Sameer Vidwans directs an inspirational biographical drama about one of the first female physicians in India in the late 19th century. Born and raised in Kaylan, Anandibai Joshi (Bhagyashree Milind) marries at an early age and moves to Calcutta with her forward-thinking husband Gopalrao (Lalit Prabhakar). With his blessing, she defies convention to study medicine at the Woman's Medical College in Pennsylvania and returns to India to share her knowledge with a posting at the Albert Edward Hospital.
