Lancaster Skies
It's chocks away for a low budget wartime drama directed by Callum Burn, which salutes the bravery of men who took to the skies during the Second World War. Douglas Miller (Jeffrey Mundell) is an ace Spitfire pilot, who served with distinction during the Battle Of Britain and barely survived the aerial bombardment. He is a broken man, who has deliberately cut himself from off from people around him to minimise the impact of losing more comrades in arms. Despite these deep psychological wounds, Douglas is determined to play his part in destroying Nazi Germany. He transfers to Bomber Command, where he is asked to replace the deceased skipper of one Lancaster Bomber crew. Douglas faces an uphill battle to earn the respect of his men, who dearly miss their old leader and are unconvinced that he is the man to lead them into conflict.
