Love Sonia
Inspired by true events, Love Sonia is a life-affirming Hindi-language drama directed by Tabrez Noorani about a courageous Indian village girl called Sonia (Mrunai Thakur), who resolves to save her younger sister from the global sex trade. In the process, she becomes ensnared in this dangerous world at the mercy of small-time pimps, who are part of a growing army that exploits and abuses the weak and powerless. Despite the omnipresent threat to her own safety, Sonia continues to search for an escape from the degradation in Mumbai, determined to win back freedom for herself and the people she loves.
