Bergman - A Year in a Life
In 1957, Ingmar Bergman directed two of his landmark films - The Seventh Seal and Wild Strawberries - and also found time to direct four plays including Ibsen's Peer Gynt and a television film. Documentarian Jane Magnusson focuses on this creatively fertile period to explore the man behind the camera. Her film includes contemporary interviews and previously unseen archive material, which explore his affair with Bibi Andersson and relationships with Kabi Laretei and Ingrid von Rosen before they became his fourth and fifth wives respectively.
