One Cut of the Dead (Kamera o tomeru na!)
Japanese director Shin'ichiro Ueda helms a tongue-in-cheek zombie horror, which turns the genre on its head. Opening with a single unbroken shot that last 37 minutes, One Cut Of The Dead focuses initially on a filmmaker called Higurashi (Takayuki Hamatsu), who is orchestrating a low-budget shoot in an abandoned water treatment plant, which was rumoured to be the site of secret military experiments many years ago. Clashing with his actors, Higurashi turns to his cinematographer for help just as a real-life zombie apocalypse unfolds off camera. As the undead shuffle menacingly into the treatment plant, Higurashi's camera continues to roll and he captures genuine terror on the faces of his cast as they break character and go to extreme lengths to survive.
