Jason Isaacs narrates Catherine Lurie's inspirational documentary, which follows 11 motor motorcyclists on an epic journey across nine countries. In the summer of 2015, the European Maccabi Games - also known as the Jewish Olympic Games - are held on German soil for the first time since the Second World War. To commemorate this once inconceivable turn of events, a group of motorcyclists carries a torch from Israel to the site of the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games. This 24-day odyssey covers 4500 km and the bikers proudly fly the Israeli flag as they travel across Europe, facing intolerance and anti-Semitism, sometimes under police guard. Back To Berlin explores the emotional and physical impact on the bikers and their resolve to complete their mission and honour the heroes of the past.
