Siberia
Diamond smuggling comes at a terrible price in the snowbound thriller Siberia, directed by Matthew Ross and penned by Scott B. Smith. Lucas Hill (Keanu Reeves) bids his wife Gabby (Molly Ringwald) farewell and travels to St. Petersburg to meet with business partner Pyotr (Boris Gulyarin). The two men intend to sell blue diamonds to notorious Russian gangster Boris Volkov (Pasha D. Lychnikoff). However, Pyotr is nowhere to be seen and the deal collapses. Boris threatens violence but eventually agrees a two-day extension, which will allow Lucas to travel to the small Siberian town of Mirny, where Pyotr's brother lives. During this unexpected diversion, Lucas sparks a fiery attraction with cafe owner Katya (Ana Ularu) and they embark on a passionate affair, which puts her in jeopardy too.
