Writer-director Emily Atef dramatises three days in the life of Austrian screen siren Romy Schneider, less than a year before she was found dead in a Paris apartment at the age of 43. Through the lens of Atef's film, we meet Romy (Marie Baumer) as she prepares to give a print interview to Stern magazine, while she recuperates at a spa. Reporter Michael Jurgs (Robert Gwisdek) and photographer Robert Lebeck (Charly Hubner) arrive for three days of probing discourse to explore her career, the recent death of her first husband and the breakdown of her second marriage to Daniel Basini, which has led to a custody battle for their teenage son. Romy's good friend Hilde Fritsch (Birgit Minichmayr) agrees to lend moral support as the starlet navigates a minefield of personal questions, salving her pain with a potent cocktail of alcohol and pills.
