Inspired by true events, the feature directorial debut of Clare Anyiam-Osigwe examines timely issues of gender and racial inequality for women and girls. Jade (Adele Oni) is a talented freelance photographer, who owns her business but is struggling to find a man to value her true beauty. Current boyfriend Danny (Kadeem Pearse), her best friend of 10 years and a bar manager, doesn't seem to appreciate her and Jade begins to question if the colour of her skin is preventing her from finding happiness. Best friend Carla (Anyiam-Osigwe) seems to have no problems: she is about to marry her sweetheart Eddie (Algie Salmon-Fattahian). Consequently, Jade embarks on a journey of self-discovery to accept the woman she sees in the mirror.
