Echoing timely concerns about sexual harassment and assault voiced by the MeToo and TimesUp movements, director Colin Higgins's smash hit 1980 comedy returns to the big screen, following three women who grow tired of the exploits of their "sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot" boss. Judy (Jane Fonda), Violet (Lily Tomlin) and Doralee (Donna Parton) are part of an all-female workplace, which silently endures the repulsive behaviour of sleazy boss Franklin Hart Jr. (Dabney Coleman). The three women are humiliated or belittled by Franklin and they bond over their mutual disgust for his abhorrent practices. Judy, Violet and Doralee are emboldened by their sisterly solidarity and they hatch a cunning plan to get delicious revenge on Franklin.
