Columbus
A Korean-born man named Jin (John Cho) heads to Columbus in the company of his good friend Eleanor (Parker Posey) to care for his architect father, who is in hospital in a serious condition. Estranged from his old man, Jin waits patiently for news about his ailing parent. During this anxious stay, Jin meets high school graduate Casey (Haley Lu Richardson), who is deferring plans to attend college to keep an eye on her drug-addicted mother. Casey offers Jin a cigarette and the lonely souls strike up a conversation, which gradually teases out the regret and sadness that weigh both of them down.
