The Fog
A new 4K restoration of John Carpenter's spooky 1980 horror thriller, his follow-up to Halloween, opens in selected cinemas in time for this year's All Hallows' Eve. In 1880, the founding fathers of the coastal town of Antonio Bay sank a clipper ship, using the plundered gold to establish the community and build a church. One hundred years later as the town prepares to celebrate its centenary, a thick, choking mist settles on Antonio Bay. Local radio DJ Stevie Wayne (Adrienne Barbeau), hitchhiker Elizabeth Solley (Jamie Lee Curtis) and centenary celebrations chairwoman Kathy Williams (Janet Leigh) search for sanctuary from the fog, which conceals the vengeful ghosts of mariners, who were killed 100 years ago.
