Down to Earth
In 2004, Rolf Winters and his wife Renata Heinen decided to radically alter life for their three children, then aged 6, 3 and 1. The couple drew inspiration from a Native American tribe, the Anishnaabe, and purchased a piece of woodland on the shore of Lake Michigan, where they built a house, school and a garden to grow their own food. In this revealing documentary, the couple and their offspring now aged 10, 7 and 6 embark on a five-year round-the-world odyssey to meet Earth Keepers, who live in harmony with their surroundings, often under the radar of modern society. Down To Earth celebrates these shamans, medicine people, spiritual leaders and healers and reflects on the future for humanity.
