Two for Joy
Aisha (Samantha Morton) has never recovered from the death of her husband and she languishes in the pits of depression. Teenage daughter Vi (Emilia Jones) has been forced to adopt the role of carer not just for her mother but also for her adolescent brother Troy (Badger Skelton), who is out of control in the absence of a father figure. Aisha decides to take her brood away to the seaside for a holiday. As she seeks salvation, Aisha meets another mother Lillah (Billie Piper), whose dysfunctional brood are scarred by domestic violence. A toxic bond develops between Troy and Lillah's daughter Miranda (Bella Ramsey), which threatens to damage both fractured families beyond the point of repair.
