Sui Dhaaga: Made in India
Writer-director Sharat Katariya pays tribute to India's handmade textile industry in an uplifting drama about a son, who embarks on a hard fought journey from unemployment to self-made man with the help of the woman he loves. Gifted tailor Mauji (Varun Dhawan) is determined to provide for his embroiderer wife Mamta (Anushka Sharma) as a salesman in a sewing machine shop. Every day, Mauji suffers humiliation but he persists in the name of love. When Mauji suddenly finds himself out of work, he decides to risk everything by setting up his own business. Using one sewing machine and the best fabric they can afford, Mauji and Mamta showcase their skills with needle and thread.
