Climax
Provocative Argentine filmmaker Gaspar Noe prepares to shock, sicken and disturb with his hard-hitting dance of death, which features scenes of debauchery and depravity that will stun audiences who are unfamiliar with his particular brand of filmmaking. In the calm before an inevitable storm, Noe introduces us to a group of dancers, who harbour similar dreams of greatness and fame before they rehearse side by side, subtly comparing themselves to their rivals. During a party, a bowl of punch is spiked and as the drugs take effect, the dancers experience a trip they would rather forget. Inhibitions melt, anger and primal desires are unleashed and the party descends into a nightmarish vision of a modern-day Sodom and Gomorrah.
