Under the Wire
Based on the book of the same title, Under The Wire is a gripping documentary directed by Chris Martin about the battle for the hearts and minds of the civilians of the besieged Syrian city of Homs. The film incorporates previously unseen archive footage and first-hand testimony to chart the journeys of two journalists in the war-ravaged country. On February 12, 2012, Sunday Times war correspondent Marie Colvin and photographer Paul Conroy entered Syria to cover the endurance of the human spirit in a city under relentless military attack from the Syrian army. Only one of them returned from the assignment and Martin's film captures their battle for survival in the moment.
