Kayamkulam Kochunni
Rosshan Andrrews directs a lavish Malayalam-language period drama based on the real-life exploits of highwayman Kayamkulam Kochunni, who operated in the early 19th century during the British Raj. Kayamkulam (Nivin Pauly) harks from humble beginnings and witnesses the exploitation of the poor and helpless by the rich and powerful. Aided by his mentor Thangal (Babu Antony), Kayamkulam vows to restore the balance of power by taking from those who have plenty to give to those who have none. In the process, he wins the heart of the beautiful Janaki (Priya Anand) and is elevated to the status of folk hero by the people.
