Known to fans as Carlos Kaiser, Brazilian footballer Carlos Henrique Raposo was at the beating heart of the beautiful game in his country for more than 20 years. He was signed to many of Brazil's biggest clubs, savoured the trappings of fame and enjoyed a high profile in the media as a notorious womaniser, projecting an image of brooding machismo on and off the pitch. Astonishingly, Raposo could not play football and sustained his career with the gift of the gab and some cunning stunts that removed him from the field of play so his lack of talent was never exposed.
