Iceman (Der Mann aus dem Eis)
Inspired by mummified remains dating back to 3300 BC, which were discovered in 1991 in the Alps, director Felix Randau's thriller imagines the final days of a Neolithic man, who seeks revenge for the brutal murder of his clan. Kelab (Jurgen Vogel) proudly presides over his tribe, which includes his wife Kisis (Susanne Wuest) and son. He is an imposing physical presence and frequently leaves camp to hunt. During one of these sorties, sadistic rival Krant (Andre Hennicke) and two accomplices enter the camp, rape and murder Kisis, and kill everyone else in plain sight. When Kelab senses the horrifying threat, he races back to his camp but arrives too late to save anyone except for a mewling baby belonging to one of his neighbours. The tribal leader is consumed with rage and grief, and he vows revenge for his slain loved ones. Taking the orphaned infant with him, Kelab traverses hostile terrain to hunt down Krant and co.
