The Butterfly Tree
Following the death of his wife, grief-stricken father and teacher Al (Ewen Leslie) seeks comfort in the arms of one of his creative writing students, Shelley (Sophie Lowe). Meanwhile, Al's sensitive and lonely 13-year-old son Fin (Ed Oxenbould) retreats into his private world of butterfly collecting. On the same day, Al and Fin meet exotic dancer and florist Evelyn (Melissa George), who is newly arrived in town to escape ghosts of her dark past. Father and son both fall under the intoxicating spell of Evelyn and when they discover their mutual interest in the florist, Al and Fin spark a rivalry for Evelyn's affections.
