Released in 2012, director Smeep Kang's romantic comedy of errors Carry On Jatta charted the vacillations of a resourceful orphan named Jass (Gippy Grewal), who fell head over heels in love with a beautiful woman, who was terrified of meddlesome in-laws ruining the nuptials. In the eagerly anticipated sequel, which is directed again by Kang, Jass continues to dream of moving to Canada and he accepts that the only way he can achieve the move is by finding a Canadian woman to marry. His good friend Honey (Gurpreet Ghuggi) acts as matchmaker and pairs him with a woman called Meet (Sonam Bajwa). She seems perfect until Jass learns about the very particular set of values that Meet expects in a husband and he must decide how much he is willing to sacrifice to fulfil his greatest wish.
