Pandora's Box
A new digital restoration of G.W. Pabst's celebrated 1929 film, which was adapted from Frank Wedekind's play Lulu. Seductive performer Lulu (Louise Brooks) is adored by all men, not least rivals Schigolch (Carl Gotz) and Schon (Fritz Kortner). The latter introduces Lulu to his son Alwa (Franz Lederer), who hires her as a dancer in a show he is producing. Passions explode with devastating consequences when Alwa and his fiancee discover Lulu and Schon in flagrante in her dressing room. The film opens on June 1 in London, Edinburgh and Belfast and then tours the UK and Ireland throughout the summer.
